In the beginning, God....
If the first four words of the Bible don't mean anything to you, it is probable the entire abortion debate eludes you as well. Without God, life has no meaning. Without God, there are no moral absolutes. Without God, human beings are on an equal footing with animals - or perhaps a lesser one since humans are not endangered (unless they are unborn). There IS such a thing as absolute truth. One example is the concept of gravity - it exists whether you believe in it or not. I'd argue the same is true of God. Human life is precious because a loving God said His creation was "very good" in reference to man. It breaks my heart that our pets in this country are treated with more decency than our unborn children. Until the tragedy of abortion is fully exposed, it will not end. - Nicole
Freedom of Choice Act
President-elect Obama has pledged to sign the Freedom of Choice Act into law as one of his first actions as President of the United States. Charmaine Yoest, Ph.D., President & CEO of AUL Action, the legislative arm of Americans United for Life (AUL) has created "Fight FOCA". Click on the picture to the left to go to her website and join the petition. FOCA will overturn every existing law that limits abortion in any way. This includes parent consent laws, patient information laws, partial birth abortion, military health care funding, overseas funding, domestic funding, etc. It REALLY bothers me that Planned Parenthood has gotten away with giving abortions to underage girls –as young as 12 – who they KNEW had been raped and then failed to report the crime to the authorities. Instead they sent the girl back….in one case to another 7 years of abuse. We need MORE regulation – not less. We also need to enforce existing laws to protect women and girls from abuse – and the trauma of abortion. Center for Bio-Ethical Reform

Pictures were critical to ending slavery and segregation in this country as well. People had to see the brutality first before they were compelled to do something about it.
